After leaving English football behind, Abou Diaby's luck at Marseille has been no better than his time at Arsenal.
Diaby has been left out of their recent squad list for the Europa League, and is yet to make his debut - or even take part in a full training session with the club.
The midfielder was hit by a succession of injuries during his nine seasons with the Gunners, but there remains optimism he can get it right.
French website Maxifoot report Diaby is working with a so-called 'miracle doctor', Eduardo Santos, who managed to help David Luiz make a speedy recovery from injury last season.
Santos is optimistic his work with the former Arsenal man will pay off for the midfielder.
He said: "If he follows my methods well and my advice, he will play again at his best, all season without injury.
"I am sure that we will soon be seeing the great Abou Diaby. I think we did a good job, he will be back soon."
That is a very bold prediction, and while Marseille fans may buy into it, Arsenal fans know by now that nothing for Abou Diaby is simple.
A French international midfielder at his peak, he has not started a league game in two seasons, and realistically may need a miracle-like turnaround to stay injury free.
