The defender has stated that the latest additions at Upton Park have been a positive influence on Slaven Bilic’s squad.
West Ham United defender Aaron Cresswell has revealed that the club’s summer additions have been a positive influence on the squad, telling that club’s official website that the latest signings are ready to make an impact on the pitch.
With a manic transfer deadline day also bringing Alex Song, Nikica Jelavic, Michail Antonio and Victor Moses to the London club, Slaven Bilic has a star-studded contingent at his disposal.
Cresswell, who has become an essential member of the West Ham team at left-back, has been singing the praises of the club’s new players.
The defender has backed the latest signings to make an impact against Newcastle on Monday night, while stating that there is a positive feeling surrounding the squad.
“There were four who came in on the last day, and we know Alex from before,” Cresswell told the West Ham official website.
“But the ones that came in during the summer as well have been fantastic from the moment they walked in the door and hopefully the new boys can hit the ground running straight away as well on Monday (against Newcastle).
“We have brought four in and it definitely adds to our strength in depth.”
West Ham have had an inconsistent start to the new season, with superb away wins at Liverpool and Arsenal offset by home defeats at the hands of Bournemouth and Leicester.
The Hammers will look to get back on track against Newcastle on Monday, who themselves have had an underwhelming beginning to the 2015-16 campaign.
