San Marino scored their first goal away from home in 14 years this week, but took things a little too far on social media...
Arsenal and Cristiano Ronaldo came in for some tongue-in-cheek ridicule from a surprising source this week.
San Marino have only ever won one international match, and that came against fellow European minnows Lichtenstein.
So when Matteo Vitaioli levelled things up from a free-kick against Lithuania this week they, quite rightly, went nuts.
Never mind that Lithuania eventually won the game with a 92nd minute goal, Vitaioli’s effort was still cause for celebration among the Sammarinese.
Whoever runs the San Marino Football Association’s Twitter account certainly thought so, delivering a series of tweets that poked fun at their international standing and the world of football.
Real Madrid superstar Ronaldo came in for mockery, with San Marino keen to point out which of the two had managed more goals in September.

The Portuguese winker was not alone though; with Arsenal’s lack of a Champions League title also the subject of another tweet.
Y al final llego nuestro gol, en la vida todo llega, menos la Champions para el Arsenal.— Selección San Marino (@sanmarinopasion) September 8, 2015
It all made for jolly good fun but enjoy it while you can San Marino.
By the time they score again, Ronaldo will have almost certainly scored while Arsenal, well, they might have won the FA Cup again.
