Report: Scott Brown still recovering from hamstring injury, may be forced to sit out of Celtic game this weekend

Celtic captain Brown is still not up to full fitness.

Scott Brown has been playing well below his usual level over recent weeks, and a report in the Evening Times has suggested why.

Apparently, the 30-year-old midfielder has still not full recovered from a hamstring injury that he suffered last month in the Champions League qualifying game with FK Qarabag.

He missed two games following the injury, but was rushed back into the Celtic team by Ronny Deila due to his importance in the side.

The Bhoys captain was then called up by Scotland for the important Euro 2016 qualifying games, and he appeared in both ties.

Now that the international break is over, and with Celtic playing Aberdeen this weekend, it has been revealed that Brown is still playing far from 100% fitness, and that he could be forced to sit on the sidelines for a number of weeks whilst he returns to full match sharpness.

Deila is willing to keep him out of the starting XI this weekend, so as to give Brown a chance of being ready for the Europa League game with Ajax next week.
