The former West Ham striker was reflecting on his short time at Upton Park.
However, the striker, who later went on to also play for Newcastle United and Chelsea, has expressed regret at his spell at Upton Park being too short.
The Senegalese forward scored several goals for West Ham but appears as though he would have liked longer with the Irons.
"First EPL club. As a hammer. Too short but very nice time tho," he wrote on Instagram.
West Ham could have done with Ba this summer, of course, during their pursuit of a new striker. Although boss Slaven Bilic seems delighted to be reunited with Croatian forward Nikica Jelavic.
Along with the former Hull man, the Hammers also possess the talents of Diafra Sakho, Andy Carroll, Enner Valencia and Mauro Zarate (fitness permitting for several of them).
Can West Ham keep up the goalscoring form they have shown so far, then, with Bilic's men even scoring three during a 4-3 defeat at home to Bournemouth?
