A selection of the latest stories in the media involving Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening…

Tottenham Hotspur are to consider loan offers for midfielder Alex Pritchard, the Daily Mail reports, if the 22-year-old fails to make an impact on the first team between now and January.

Pritchard signed a new four-year deal at White Hart Lane recently and is highly rated by those at the club.

If he is to leave the club in the winter, then head coach Mauricio Pochettino is said to prefer him to leave for another club in the top flight.

The report suggests that Championship side Queens Park Rangers would be interested in a move for the player, with their boss Chris Ramsey having previously worked with him at academy level.

Elsewhere, defender Toby Alderweireld believes that Tottenham are improving despite not picking up a win from their opening four Premier League games.

The Belgian defender, who signed during the summer, is quoted in the London Evening Standard as saying that he is feeling confident about life at White Hart Lane.

He said: "In the last home game against Everton I think we played very well. The only thing was that we couldn’t score, but our game is improving. I think I’ve had a good start, and I’m feeling comfortable and confident."

One of the main stories of the transfer window was Tottenham's failed pursuit of West Bromwich Albion forward Saido Berahino, and his teammate James Morrison has told Sky Sports that he doesn't really blame the forward for wanting to make the move to Spurs, but has said the Baggies need to be expected.

He said: "You can't knock him for wanting to go to Tottenham, but he should respect the club as they've been with him since a young age."
