Report: Newcastle defenders Jamaal Lascelles and Lubo Satka considered for loan exits

The Magpies will reportedly look to utilise the emergency loan window to full effect.

Newcastle will look to offload a number of fringe players on loan once the emergency loan window opens on Wednesday, according to the Chronicle.

Yesterday it was claimed by the Northern Echo that the Magpies are willing to let five players go out on loan and this latest report adds Jamaal Lascelles and Lubo Satka to the equation.

The Chronicle claims that there is Championship interest in Mike Williamson and Lascelles but it is unclear, at this point, as to who will be let go.

Williamson would seem the more obvious candidate after failing to convince Steve McClaren since the former Derby manager’s arrival, but a stint away could also be beneficial for Lascelles.

The former Nottingham Forest defender has struggled to make the step up to Premier League level and still has naïve elements to his game that could be helped by regular football elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Slovakian youngster Lubo Satka could be a shrewd addition for a number of Football League clubs, as the Magpies look to give him experience away from St James Park.

The 19-year old impressed during his pre-season cameos for McClaren's men, but isn’t yet considered ready for regular first-team involvement.
