Leeds United have a very exciting new winger on their books and he clearly cannot wait to get started.
New Leeds United signing Jordan Botaka has taken to Twitter to announce that he is currently travelling to Yorkshire to begin the next stage of his career.
The 22-year-old signed a two-year deal last week for an undisclosed fee, becoming Leeds’ eighth signing of an impressive summer transfer window, and he is now looking ahead to his first chance to impress for Uwe Rosler’s side.
Leeds’ first match after the international break is a home game against Brentford and the Whites will be hoping to build on their victory against Derby County last time out.
That win was Leeds’ first of the new season and it took them up to 10th in the table after a string of draws in their opening matches.
Writing on Twitter on Tuesday morning, Botaka said, “On my way to Leeds; let this new adventure start.”
Botaka plays predominantly from the left but he can also operate on the opposite flank or as a secondary striker.
He is full of tricks that should light up Elland Road in the years ahead, while his 12 goals and 11 assists for former club Excelsior Rotterdam speak of a player with considerable potential.
Leeds were crying out for width at the start of the summer, but with Botaka joining Stuart Dallas at the club they now have it in abundance.
