Sport Mediaset have taken inspiration from the Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze supernatural classic to promote the European Cup.
Champions League fever is upon us and while for us in the UK that means watching adverts with the likes of Gareth Bale, Franck Ribery and David Luiz, they are doing things a little differently in Italy.
Back in the 1980s the film “Ghost”, starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, took the world by storm.
Arguably the most memorable scene featuring the two Hollywood A-Listers involved in a spot of late-night pottery action.
Steamy, sensual and kind of grubby at the same time, the scene was an iconic moment in the world of movies back in the day and has been the subject of many a parody.
Few compare to the latest Italian effort, however, from Sport Mediaset, which sees the scene play out like a normal bit of pottery wheel jiggery pokery before turning into something uniquely football.
If someone could carve the Champions League trophy out of clay we would be mightily impressed but as it is, this is just a bit, well, weird.
Given the choice, though, would you rather said jug was co-commentator than Michael Owen?
Actually, don’t answer that – we don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings.
