Ghanaian football chief airs radical idea to try and fill stadiums

We wonder if a few Premier League clubs might start doing this?

Some football clubs have a really tough time filling their stadiums up, and keeping them filled. From non-league clubs right the way to up a few Premier League teams, getting people in is a tough task – unless it's a big game or there are half-price pies.

While pies and the prospect of playing one of the big four is all well and good, the Ghanaian FA's president has a really, REALLY clever idea on how to get more people along to watch football in Ghana.

Sexy women of course! What else?!

Yep, the Ghanaian FA's president, Kwesi Nyantakyi is desperate to stop football fans choosing Premier League football over the domestic game in the Ghana and so he decided to come up with the ingenious idea.

Speaking to Ghana Web, Nyantakyi revealed why his plan is so brilliant (in his mind, at least): "Me, I have said this thing over and over again… we must let sexy ladies enter our stadia and the men will readily follow them into the stadium to watch games."

It turns out that attendances in Ghanaian football have dropped over the last decade thanks to the bloomin' Premier League, but the only thing better than the Premier League is attractive women – which makes sense, I guess.

And Nyantakyi certainly agrees: "Most of these men when they hear that beautiful girls are coming to the stadium today, they’ll all jump and follow them to the stadium… and they are going there purposely to see the ladies.

"I remember there was one match that we brought some beautiful girls who were in nice jeans to the stadium. The men in the stands went into frenzy and when the ladies waved at them – come and see how jubilant they were."

So, would attractive women make you turn up to a football match on a regular basis or do you think this is well sexist?
