Scotland fell to a 3-2 defeat to Germany in Euro 2016 qualifying.
A spirited display by Scotland was not enough to clinch victory over Germany at Hampden Park on Monday evening.
The hosts hopes of qualifying for Euro 2016 took a big hit due to the loss, with other results meaning the Tartan Army cannot finish in the top two of group D, whilst they are still four points behind the Republic of Ireland in the search to qualify for the play-off spot.
The game was a true footballing spectacle, with the technical brilliance of Germany coming up against the passion of the Scots, although it was the Germans who won out in the end.
Goals from Thomas Muller and Ilkay Gundogan secured the points for Jogi Low’s men, despite James McArthur and a Matts Hummels own goal bringing the game back to 1-1 and 2-2 respectively.
Gordon Strachan has his work cut out to ensure Scotland now qualify for the tournament in the summer of 2016, although more displays of this sort will certainly give the Scots the best chance possible.
