The ex-West Ham United midfielder is currently training with the League Two side.
The 33-year-old midfielder left Upton Park by mutual consent at the end of last month, after making 157 appearances for the Hammers.
In that time he scored 30 goals and provided nine assists but, having been used sparingly in the Premier League by Slaven Bilic this season, he was allowed to leave after the promise of regular first-team football could not be given.
As a free agent, the future remains unclear for Nolan, but the Guardian claims he will spend some time training with League Two club Orient before moving on to pastures new.
While he is training with the club, there is no suggestion at this time that the former West Ham player will be turning out for Orient, and in truth he may struggle when you consider that Ian Hendon’s side are currently top of the league with 15 points from their first six matches.
Nolan could still offer plenty to a top Championship side or even some clubs in the Premier League, but it seems he will not be rushed into making a decision until he is back to full fitness.
