Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli was not pleased with his performance for the England Under-21 side in Norway on Monday evening.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to the England Under-21 side’s win against their Norwegian counterparts away from home on Monday evening.

Gareth Southgate’s side got the better of the Norway Under-21 team 1-0 at the Marienlyst Stadion in Drammen in the 2017 UEFA Under-21 Championship Group 9 qualifier.

A first-half penalty from captain and Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse proved to be the difference between the two sides in Norway.

Tottenham’s 19-year-old midfielder Alli started the game, but he was replaced by Chelsea-owned Napoli youngster Nathaniel Chalobah at the break.

The highly-rated youngster was not pleased with his own personal performance, but he was happy to see his side win the encounter.

Following the match, Alli posted the following message on social networking site Twitter:

It is quite refreshing to see a player admit in public that he did not play well, and one suspects that Alli will be determined to step up his game.

The midfielder has been drafted into the Tottenham first team this season, and he will be looking to train hard this week and get into the starting line-up for the Premier League game against Sunderland away from home at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
