Wales were held to a goalless draw by Israel at the Cardiff City Stadium in a Euro 2016 qualifier this evening.

Wales will have to wait a little longer to book their place in the Euro 2016 finals.

Chris Coleman’s side could have secured their place in the group stage of the 2016 European Championship with victory over Israel on Sunday evening, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils.

Former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale, now at Real Madrid, Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey and Swansea City defender Ashley Williams all started the Euro 2016 Group B qualifier at the Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff.

Despite their heroic efforts, Wales failed to pick up all three points and had to settle for a goalless draw.

Over the course of the 90 minutes, the Dragons had 62% of the possession, took 17 shots of which seven were on target, and earned 11 corners.

Visiting Israel were hugely defensive and had just 38% of the possession, took only two shots of which one was on target, and earned one corner.

Below are some of the best pictures from the game, including former Tottenham star Bale looking frustrated, and Wales and Liverpool legend Ian Rush attending the game.
