Players from Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Everton, Swansea City, Arsenal and Stoke City were among those in England training this week.
England secured qualification for Euro 2016 with a 6-0 victory against San Marino last weekend, but Roy Hodgson’s side still has to play out the formalities meaning Three Lions fans are likely to see a few changes for Tuesday’s match against Switzerland.
The Swiss are currently second in Group E, seven points behind England, and while the latter have qualified they will surely want to maintain their 100 per cent record heading into the summer.
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney equalled Bobby Charlton’s England scoring record with his penalty against San Marino and he will be hoping to beat it in a little over 24 hours.
That said, Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane scored a great goal of his own when he replaced the United skipper so the youngster could well start this time out.
Tottenham fans will no doubt be hoping Kane gets another goal so he returns to White Hart Lane with the bit between his teeth for the domestic matches ahead.
Some of England’s players were photographed taking part in training ahead of their next encounter, including Rooney, Kane and Chelsea centre-back Gary Cahill.
Swansea City’s Jonjo Shelvey was also in action after his great performance at the weekend, as was Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
United defender Chris Smalling and Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason will be hoping to start after both spent the last game on the bench but the final decision will rest with Hodgson.
