A select round-up of the latest news relating to Tottenham Hotspur…

According to a report from the Sunday People, West Bromwich Albion are preparing to offer Saido Berahino a new contract with a £25million buy-out clause following Tottenham Hotspur’s failure to sign him during the summer transfer window.

The England under-21 international was the subject of a number of failed bids from Spurs and vented his frustration on Twitter on deadline day; but the latest report suggests West Brom will attempt to ease the conflict between the two parties by offering Berahino a pay-increase and laying down the rules by which he can be sold in the future.

Tottenham are said to have offered their money in instalments while the new contract will reportedly see him allowed to leave if a rival club pays all the cash up front.

In other news, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has been speaking to the FA’s official website about how he gets on with Spurs striker Harry Kane.

The former MK Dons midfielder has impressed since arriving at White Hart Lane and he already has his first goal for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, but he still has a very long way to go before he reaches the top of his game.

Speaking to the FA.com, Alli said, “Harry is a top player and shows it every day in training and games. He helps me with little things on the pitch, tactics and stuff, and he told me to just keep working hard.”
