The two are currently on international duty with Spain.
Spain got revenge for their previous defeat against Slovakia in the qualifying stages for the European Championships in France next summer.
They were comfortable 2-0 winners against Slovakia, who lost their 100 per cent record in the process of losing the match.
Manchester City midfielder David Silva shone in the game, as goals from Jordi Alba and Andres Iniesta saw Spain claim victory.
Diego Costa was also in action, fighting hard throughout but again failing to score for his adopted nation.
However, a lot of the focus was on the goalkeeping situation.
Iker Casillas was playing his 100th game as Spain captain and his first ever not as a Real Madrid player – after a summer move to FC Porto.
However he looked in good spirits. The Manchester United man watched on from the bench with a smile on his face and clearly enjoyed being part of the Spanish set-up. He even shared a good laugh with his Manchester United counterpart Juan Mata before the game, showing that no bridges are burned at Old Trafford.
He will now hope to get off the bench for United.
