Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko jokes about his market value

Moussa Sissoko is one of the best players on the books of Newcastle United at the moment.

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko has jokingly told France Football that he thinks that he is worth €100 million (£73.5m).

During an extensive interview with the French publication, the 26-year-old was asked how much he thinks he is worth in the market.

Sissoko, a France international, replied with a laugh: “If I was the club president, why not (€)100m?”

Important player for Newcastle United

Sissoko has been on the books of Newcastle since January 2013, when he joined them from French club Toulouse.

The Frenchman has established himself as one of the best players for the Magpies and is one of the better midfielders in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old scored four goals and created 43 chances in 34 Premier League matches for Newcastle last season.

Sissoko had a pass accuracy of 79% and a shot accuracy of 48%, and won 47 headers, 85 dribbles and 34 tackles.

So far this season, the Newcastle midfielder has created two chances in three Premier League games.

The France international has a pass accuracy of 69%, and has won four headers, three dribbles and five tackles.
