The Gers maintained their 100% start to the 2015-16 Scottish Championship campaign, as they defeated the Rovers 5-0 at Ibrox in Glasgow.
Lee Wallace put Rangers in the lead as early as the fourth minute from a well-worked free kick, and James Tavernier added a second on the stroke of half time when he latched onto Nathan Oduwa's flick.
Barrie McKay's effort from close range 10 minutes into the second half made it 3-0 to Rangers, who scored twice in quick succession thereafter through Martyn Waghorn’s penalties.
Rangers are now five points clear at the top of the Scottish Championship table with 15 points from five matches.
Warburton was delighted with the performance of his players on Saturday afternoon and posted the following message on Twitter after the win:
The lads displayed a tremendous work ethic today and good to see them get their rewards. The whole squad deserve real credit— Mark Warburton (@MarkWarburton9) September 5, 2015
Over the course of the 90 minutes, hosts Rangers had 73% of the possession, took 23 shots of which 12 were on target, and earned seven corners.
