The defender has three caps for the senior national team.
England are through to the European Championships in France next summer, the first team to secure their qualification, after a 6-0 win against San Marino yesterday evening.
Goals from a record equalling Wayne Rooney, an own goal, Ross Barkley, Theo Walcott (2) and Harry Kane proved enough for victory as something of an experimental England team took victory.
But whilst the likes of Jamie Vardy, Jonjo Shelvey and John Stones enjoyed starts for their country, one man who missed out was Calum Chambers.
The Arsenal defender did however watch his England mates in action, sharing this Tweet with his followers during the game:
The 20-year-old defender does of course have full England caps to his name. He impressed at the start of last season and earned three caps for his nation, including a first start against San Marino.
However his form has plateaued slightly since then and he is currently back in the under-21 fold and battling for first-team football at Arsenal in order to make his way back into the England senior squad.
But he has a huge battle ahead of him with the current crop of talented defenders doing so well for England – who are now unbeaten in 12 games stretching back to the World Cup defeat against Italy last summer.
Chambers will hope to get his chance at Arsenal soon, as he hopes to book his place on the plane to France next summer.
