Stuart Pearce is without a managerial job at the moment after leaving Nottingham Forest in February.
Former Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and West Ham United defender Stuart Pearce has said on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 that he is ready to get back into management.
The 53-year-old has been without a managerial job since February of this year when he parted company with Forest.
Pearce has said that he is on the lookout for a new job, but he has made it clear that he will take it only if it appeals to him.
The former Forest, Newcastle and West Ham defender has also admitted that he was recently turned down for the Finland national team coach’s position.
“Yes, if the right opportunity comes along,” said Pearce on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 this morning when asked if he is looking to get back into management.
“I applied for the Finland national team job a couple of weeks ago, but I didn’t get that. Hans Backe ended up getting that job. If it is not the right job, then I won’t take a job for the sake of it.”
Pearce is a very good football manager, and one should not be surprised if he is back in the Premier League sooner rather than later.
The former England international defender was a brilliant footballer, and he has in-depth knowledge about the game.
