Report: Victor Valdes has no future at Manchester United despite place in 25-man Premier League squad

The Barcelona legend has no future at Old Trafford.

Amid all the recent talk regarding David De Gea at Manchester United it is easy to forget that they currently have another high class Spaniard at Old Trafford whose future at the club looks in jeopardy.

The player in question is of course Victor Valdes.

The former Barcelona star saw a move to Besiktas collapse in August and he has ended up staying at the club, despite a massive fallout with Louis van Gaal.

LvG gave Valdes his breakthrough at Barcelona and then offered him United as a station to recover from a serious knee injury. Upon his recovery he was offered an 18-month deal at the club but last season he reportedly refused to play for the under-21s and he has since been on brink at the Theatre of Dreams.

However it recently looked as though the Barca legend had been given a reprieve by LvG – after he was included in the club’s 25-man Premier League squad.

The Manchester Evening News however report that this means nothing. They claim that Valdes still has absolutely no future at United and was simply included to meet Premier League rules.
