Celtic and Scotland captain Scott Brown received plenty of criticism after his nation's 1-0 defeat at Georgia on Friday night.
Indeed, the 30-year-old is a leading figure for both club and country but has, of late, been the subject of a dip in form - according to some of his fans.
It was Celtic's own supporters who criticised him after their Champions League elimination, while the same could be said after Scotland's loss in Georgia. Not that rival supporters didn't take the chance to lay into the midfielder, either...
Brown's form, though, has been steadily waning - according to those who are making the suggestions. It's unclear whether all Celtic fans feel the same way about their skipper but there are certainly plenty on Twitter having a go at the 30-year-old following another big-game disappointment.
Many also defended Charlie Mulgrew and claimed those criticising him were afraid to place the blame on the Bhoys captain.
Here's a selection of the Twitter reaction to Brown's Scotland performance. Do you agree with what some Celtic supporters are saying about the experienced midfield man?
Scotland or celtic - chasing a game , you must immediately remove scott brown gives you nothing attacking wise , just fouls and can't pass!!— Shaun Gil (@shaun_gil) September 5, 2015
As for Celtic, I genuinely hope Scott Brown is not a regular in the team by the end of the season. It would represent progress. So average.— Kenny Stewart (@ForzaKDS) September 4, 2015
Scott Brown playing like he does with Celtic away from home in Europe.— Daniel O'Neill (@DanielONeill95) September 4, 2015
