The Tottenham Hotspur target has enraged some football fans with his recent activity.
The Saido Berahino furore is rumbling on into the weekend. The West Brom striker has today finally deleted a Tweet that caused much controversy on transfer deadline day. The striker, who has ambitions of making the England team for next summer’s European Championships, was desperate for a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Spurs made a reported four bids for the player. In the end their final bid, reported by Sky Sports to be in the region of £23 million, was rejected and his potential switch to Tottenham from West Brom was over.
He Tweeted that he would never play for West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace again and then, just two days later, caused more anger by sharing an image of him on his way to the south of France on a private jet – incensing fans.
Berahino is currently on an extended leave until Monday, when the club will hold crunch talks over his future.
It is believed that West Brom manager Tony Pulis is sympathetic to his plight, as he was under the impression he would be allowed to leave The Hawthorns this summer.
But that has not stopped most fans expressing their will about the Tottenham target and West Brom man on Twitter – making it clear they want Tony Pulis to drop him from the first-team squad.
But while The Baggies have him, you can guarantee Pulis will want to play him…
I bet Berahino will check his bank every week to make sure wages go in!!! Wants his pay but don't wanna play!!!!! #WBA— Luke price (@priceluke1976) September 3, 2015
To turn your back on a club who have supported you for over 10 years is disgraceful I don't want to see Berahino play for us again #wba— Luke (@ldgp1407) September 2, 2015
#Berahino says he'll never play, thats easy - just don't pay him and watch him rot until no one wants him. Sign a contract and honour it !— D Walmsley (@djwalms) September 1, 2015
Must be so hard earning all that money, Berahino. You stick to your guns, don't play and miss out on the Euro squad, clever lad— Adam Knowles (@knowlesybwfc) September 1, 2015
@StevieB_WBA Pulis must drop him , can't imagine how he builds team spirit with Berahino on the side— Steve Dee (@SteveDee68) September 3, 2015
Leave Berahino sulking in the reserves. His behaviour yesterday was disgraceful #wba— Hez (@Hez_cfc67) September 2, 2015

Berahino needs to get a grip. His attitude stinks. Refusing to play because bids have been rejected. Gunna end up rotting in reserves— Chris Richardson (@Ritchie23487) September 1, 2015
