Celtic star Bitton was linked with an exit from Parkhead over the summer.
Bitton, 23, has been linked with an exit from Scotland over the past few months, with reports stating he has struggled to settle with Celtic since moving to the Premiership club in 2013.
The Daily Record claimed that Premier League side Sunderland had been looking at potentially signing the Israeli midfielder over the summer transfer window, and with him reportedly looking for a move away from Scotland, it was expected he would leave.
However, Bitton remained at Parkhead past the close of the transfer window, and the Scotsman report claims that he has held talks with head coach Ronny Deila concerning his future with the Bhoys.
The defensive midfielder, who has managed 73 appearances for the Hoops since signing from MS Ashdod, underwent talks with Deila to discuss his future in the team under the Norwegian boss, and a positive resolution appears to have been found.
It is stated that Bitton is now willing to stay at Parkhead for the foreseeable future, and it must be presumed that Deila gave him promises concerning his role in the first-team squad.
Bitton has made 10 appearances for the Bhoys so far this season, scoring three goals and registering two assists.
