Five free agents Nottingham Forest should target this month - Including Dwight Tiendalli and Marvin Sordell

Injury - Swansea City AFC

Who should Forest be looking to bring in this month?

The Transfer Window is shut but that does not necessarily mean that business is over.

The free agent market is booming with plenty of options across Europe. Nottingham Forest, who snapped up Nelson Oliveira on loan today, are one team who know all about the free agent market – as there transfer embargo has seen them utilise it recently.

So who should Nottingham Forest be looking at? Here are five potential options.

Marvin Sordell

Released by Burnley so he could find a new team on Transfer Deadline day. The former England under-21 international has failed to live up to the promise he once showed at Watford and is now looking for a new chance.

Should Forest give it to him?

Chris Herd

The Australian international is a Swiss Army Knife of a player. He can play in defensive midfield, at right-back or centre-back and has three caps for Australia to his name.

Released by Aston Villa in the summer he is still after a new club.

Dimitris Salpingidis

He may be 34-years-old but this winger/striker knows where the goal is. His contract at his beloved PAOK Salonika came to an end this summer and he is yet to announce retirement.

Should Forest move for the Greek international?

Ricardo Vaz Te

It still beggars belief that nobody has snapped up the former West Ham man for nothing.

Available after a good stint in Turkey, he is surely worth a gamble.

Dwight Tiendalli

Nottingham Forest could certainly do with another full-back. Swansea City released the former Ajax youngster three days ago and he can play at both left and right back.

A no brainer to have a go for this lad.
