Leeds United fans may never know what all the fuss was about with Nicky Ajose, but Swindon Town fans are thrilled to have in board.
Ajose signed as a free agent with Swindon after transfer deadline day, having successfully negotiated for Leeds United to terminate his contract, as reported The BBC.
Signed by Dave Hockaday, he was never once picked even as a substitute after the head coach was fired three league games into last season.
Overlooked by Darko Milanic, Neil Redfearn, and now Uwe Rosler, Leeds acted fairly to conclude a deal which allows the former Manchester United trainee the chance to continue his career.
Manager Mark Cooper told Swindon Town's official website he was delighted to land Ajose, having beaten off competition from 'several' sides to bring him in.
Supporters know all about Ajose, who netted 10 goals in 21 games on loan from Peterborough United in 2013/14.
At Leeds he was never given a fair chance, rightly or wrongly, but he has good experience in League One, having been on loan with Crewe Alexandra last season also, netting eight goals, and could be a vital season as Swindon aim for promotion, having fallen in the play-off finals to Preston North End last season.
Swindon fans appear happy to have brought the attacker back to Wiltshire, here is a look at how they reacted on Twitter...

Only issue with the Ajose signing is a three-year deal. Great L1 striker, rubbish in Champ. Not good enough if we eventually go up #STFC— Benjamin Wills (@BenjaminWillsSJ) September 2, 2015
