Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler has told the club’s official website the main benefit for him personally through the international break.
Leeds won against Derby last weekend, which gives them a chance to rest ahead of their next game in positive mood.
The German coach has also explained that the break gives him some extra breathing space in terms of being able to reinforce the ideas he’s trying to put across to his players.
“From the coaching point of view it allows us to reinforce things over the two weeks that we couldn’t do in the last few weeks because we were playing, resting, playing resting,” he told leedsunited.com.
A much need break for Leeds
Although the season has only just started, Leeds have already played a high volume of games in a very short space of time.
That’s reduced the chance Rosler has to work with certain players on weaknesses he may have spotted because there has been very little turnaround time between games.
Leeds do have some players away during the international break, but Rosler has the chance to step back, take stock, look at things which may not be working and then reacting accordingly.
Leeds have a great chance to break into the group of teams who will seriously be contending for promotion in the Championship and it’s important that the manager uses his time wisely because the games will just keeping on coming once the competitive domestic action returns.
