Newcastle are still not finished with their transfer business.
The Magpies completed a strong summer of transfer business by bringing in five players, but a report in the Northern Echo has claimed that they are not yet finished changing the playing squad - with five players set to leave on loan.
The Football League loan window opens in a few weeks, meaning that any players not included in Steve McClaren’s squad for the Premier League campaign will likely head to the Championship on a temporary deal.
And the report claims that there are five Newcastle players who have been listed for loan by McClaren, due to their first-team chances being extremely limited at St James’ Park for the ongoing campaign.
Mike Williamson and Yoan Gouffran have already been offered to Championship clubs, but having remained on Tyneside past the close of the transfer window, they will once again be offered when the loan window opens.
It is stated that Brighton have shown an interest in central defender Williamson, whilst Gouffran is reportedly wanted by Hull City.
The three others player McClaren is looking to ship out are Rob Elliot, Curtis Good and Gael Bigirimana, all of whom are considered reserve players rather than members of the first-team set-up.
There is no reference to any interest in the trio in the report, and it remains to be seen whether any clubs show a willingness to take them permanently later this month.
