Photo: Saido Berahino sends first tweet since transfer deadline day outburst

West Brom star seems relaxed, as row between the club and Tottenham escalates.

It appears Saido Berahino is making good use of his time off.

The striker posted a photo on twitter on a private jet, as the furore over his future escalates.

Tottenham Hotspur failed to convince West Brom to sell him, a transfer row which continued into the final hour of deadline day.

This led to him sending a message on Twitter expressing his frustration, claiming to never want to play for chairman Jeremy Peace again. This was re-tweeted more than 40,000 times.

SkySports reported subsequently that Berahino has been given time off and told not to return to training until Monday, so he can clear his head.

With an international break upcoming, he will not miss any further matches this weekend, and the break could do him good. At least he looks calm and relaxed in his photo.

It is probably a good thing for Berahino to be getting away from it all, so long as his plane doesn't touch down in London...
