West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has told the club's official website that Michail Antonio can entertain the Upton Park faithful.
Gold oversaw four new signings on deadline day, as Alex Song, Victor Moses and Nikica Jelavic all arrived in East London, along with winger Antonio.
The 25-year-old wide man, who was born in London, has now returned to the capital after a stunning campaign with Nottingham Forest.
With 15 goals last season and four goals in five games already this term, Antonio has been a revelation at the City Ground ever since his move from Sheffield Wednesday last summer.
Antonio's displays in the Championship last season suggest that he is now ready for the step up to the Premier League, and West Ham are hoping that he continues that form in the top flight.
Speaking to the club's official website, West Ham co-chairman David Gold says that Antonio possesses three major attributes that can make him a success - pace, power and goals.
"He has pace and power and has an impressive goalscoring record and we hope he can bring those talents into the Premier League this season," said Gold. "If he manages to do that, he will be a big addition for the squad. We want to excite our fans and have pacy wingers who can make things happen," he added.
Having started the season with a narrow diamond system, manager Slaven Bilic now has the ability to play with wingers having signed Antonio and Moses.
Both players will bring speed out wide and goalscoring ability to support Diafra Sakho in attack, making them both sensible signings for the Hammers.
