Tom Rogic’s renaissance continued apace on international duty with Australia this week after the attacking midfielder found the net in a 5-0 win over Bangladesh.
The 22-year-old was the star of the show for the Socceroos, not only scoring one goal but also playing a hand in another as the Asian Cup holders cruised to a comfortable win.
Subbed off just after the hour mark, Rogic’s display should provide Celtic fans with plenty to cheer about.
Signed from Central Coast Mariners back in January 2013, the midfielder struggled to adapt to the demands of Scottish football at first, with a series of injuries hampering his progress.
Loaned out to Melbourne Victory last season in a bid to gain more match fitness, Rogic has returned in fine form for the Hoops.
The 22-year-old has already scored twice in the Scottish Premiership this term, netting goals against Partick Thistle and St. Johnstone.
This latest effort against Bangladesh also represents his first goal for the senior Socceroos side.
With two goals in his last two games, it looks like Rogic may finally be ready to star at Parkhead.
