Former Arsenal player Adrian Clarke explained on talkSPORT that he expects Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to be fine this season.
Kane has endured a difficult start to the new football year, as he looks to build on the success he had at White Hart Lane in the last campaign, as he finished as the club’s top scorer.
Clarke has also been critical of Tottenham’s squad, branding the collection of players that manager Mauricio Pochettino has created as ‘average’.
A kick-start needed
Kane, just like any other striker, will rely to a certain extent on confident in terms of the way he plays.
He just needs to find the back of the net, regardless of how the strike comes to ensure that he gets into some good form, gives his confidence a boost and then he’ll be away.
It’s difficult for Spurs while he’s in the team and not scoring a high volume of goals because of how reliant the side is on him to succeed up front.
Quite often last season when he was in form and playing well, it rubbed off on the rest of the squad and got the most out of them in terms of team spirit and collective results, with the same possible this year.
