Leeds United are set to release attacker Nicky Ajose so he can sign for Swindon Town.
Ajose has been cast out of the first-team set-up at Elland Road by head coach Uwe Rosler, but he failed to complete a move away from the Yorkshire-based club before the close of the transfer window yesterday.
However, the 23-year-old is still not expected to make an impact with the Whites, and the report claims that Leeds are set to release him from the remaining two years of his contract so he can join up with Swindon of League One.
The attacker spent a 21 game spell with Swindon in 2013, scoring 10 goals for the club, and fans have been wanting to see him return this summer when it became clear he had been listed on the transfer market by Leeds.
They were only looking to sell him permanently, which Swindon were unwilling to see through, but now that he is set to be released, the League One side are ready to officially move for the forward.
There are no limitations on completing a deal for Ajose either, seeing as deals for out-of-contract players can be completed outside of the transfer window, which was formally closed yesterday.
