Middlesbrough received no bids for want-away winger Albert Adomah

HITC Sport understands that while a number of Premier League clubs considered a move, no offers were tabled before Tuesday's deadline.

Middlesbrough have received no bids for Albert Adomah since he made his transfer request, HITC Sport understands.

HITC Sport revealed that the Ghana international had lodged a request to leave the Championship club last week, following a falling out with coach Aitor Karanka.

Karanka subsequently left him out of the squad to face Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, and now talks are expected this week.

HITC Sport understands that whilst the likes of Bournemouth, Norwich City, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers looked at him - no bids materialised - mainly due to the time-frame with the window closing on Tuesday.

Boro themselves have yet to comment in-depth on Adomah, with chairman Steve Gibson due to meet the player this week - when he could very well tell the player that he will not be sold.

Adomah has already informed the club that if selected, he will play and has no intention of ruling himself out of contention.
