Patrick Thistle are hoping to sign former Huddersfield Town winger Adam Hammill on a free transfer, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Hammill is a free agent after cancelling his contract at Huddersfield by mutual consent on transfer deadline day.
The former Liverpool youth product was in the final year of his contract at the John Smith's Stadium and all parties have decided to go their separate ways.
Hammill joined Huddersfield Town from Wolves in June 2013 after an initial successful loan spell at the club.
The 27-year-old made 64 league appearances for Huddersfield in total, scoring six goals, but spent most of last season on loan at Rotherham.
Hammill began his career at Liverpool winning the FA Youth Cup in 2006, but he never made a first-team appearance at Anfield.
Hammill joined Barnsley in 2009 and he impressed at Oakwell earning a move to then Premier League Wolves in January 2011.
The skilful winger has previous experience of playing in Scotland after a loan spell with Dunfermline and Partick Thistle are ready to bring him back to the Scottish Premiership.
