Aaron Lennon sends message to Spurs fans on Twitter after Everton move

Aaron Lennon

The new Everton winger has spoken on social media after leaving Tottenham Hotspur.

Many have already commented on the difference in expression conveyed by Aaron Lennon after joining Everton on Deadline Day.

Back in January, the winger left Tottenham for Goodison Park on loan - and infamously posed with a grumpy face.

After leaving Spurs for good, though, the new Everton winger was all smiles this time around.

And now the 28-year-old has taken to Twitter with a special message after ten years at the club. He has wished the north London side well and thanked the supporters, players and staff.

Tottenham fans, of course, were appalled by the treatment of the now Everton winger on Deadline Day, with the club only dedicating one tweet to his departure.

Kyle Walker then took to social media with a much warmer message for the 28-year-old wide man.

At least there appear to be no hard feelings from the winger himself - publicly anyway.

Without Lennon, Spurs have a number of options out wide, although many of them are underwhelming. Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela simply aren't good enough but the arrivals of Clinton Njie and Heung-Min Son should bring hope to White Hart Lane.

In terms of the future, meanwhile, the new Everton signing closed with the following:
