Was Victor Moses the wide man West Ham United fans were looking for?
In terms of wingers, the Chelsea man could certainly work out for the Hammers - and he is certainly a massive upgrade on not bringing any in at all, as many supporters feared would happen.
Indeed, West Ham went into Deadline Day needing players and, despite there still being a question mark about the east London club signing the right striker (Nikica Jelavic is coming in), they now have one to solve their problems out wide.
Moses has signed a new long-term deal with Chelsea but was confirmed as a West Ham loanee on Deadline Day. The Nigerian winger failed to impress during a loan spell at Liverpool and is yet to break into the first team at Stamford Bridge.
But, at Stoke City, the 24-year-old impressed last season. And he can give West Ham two things they lack: pace and width.
As he reacted on Twitter to the move, meanwhile, Moses looked optimistic. Can he look forward to a solid campaign with the Irons during their last ever at Upton Park?
