Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler is pleased the hard work at his club has now translated into a much needed win.

Leeds United manager Uwe Rosler told Radio Yorkshire why he was so delighted that his team secured their first win of the Championship season in the game against Derby last weekend.

Leeds put the Rams to the sword with a 2-1 victory and Rosler stressed the patience that everyone at the club had to show, in order for the side to secure the right result.

Hopefully Leeds can now kick on with another good result after the international break, as they look to push on and climb the table.

“We are delighted because we’ve worked extremely hard. When you put in what we’ve put in, you need those results along the way to keep the momentum going,” he told Radio Yorkshire.

“The players have been patient, I have been patient and the chairman has been patient, because everyone sees how we’re working and how we’re improving.”

Importance of a winning run

It’s important that Leeds and Rosler now look to kick-on and go on a winning run over their next few fixtures in all competitions.

Leeds have a very young and developing squad of players and if they can get some consistency together, it will be proof to those youngsters that everything that they are being taught and told is effective and the right way forward.

The win and a potential winning run also take some of the pressure away from the manager, who should enjoy the international break, using it effectively to eradicate any weaknesses he feels his squad have.
