West Brom are reportedly keen on signing Crystal Palace man Ledley before the end of the transfer window.
Ledley, 28, moved to Palace in January 2014, signing for the Eagles in Tony Pulis’ first transfer window in charge at Selhurst Park. Pulis is a big fan of the Welsh international midfielder, and is looking to bring him to the Hawthorns today.
Due to the number of signings made by Palace this summer, Ledley’s place is under threat in the first-team set-up, and he has registered just eight minutes of Premier League action so far this term. A pre-season injury kept him out of action and meant he was behind the curve in terms of getting up to full fitness, but after Palace's strong start to the campaign he will be worrying about getting back into the first-team.
There is no indication in the report to suggest that the Baggies have opened talks with Palace yet concerning the transfer of Ledley, but with Pulis still looking for further reinforcements, it should be expected that negotiations start in the coming hours.
Ledley could push through a move if it means he will be guaranteed first-team football at the Hawthorns this season, with Alan Pardew unable to confirm his place in the Palace starting XI after an impressive summer in the transfer market.
