Report: Watford to close double Serie A deal for Ibarbo and Suso

The Hornets are reportedly looking to complete deals for the Roma forward and AC Milan midfielder respectively.

Watford are set to complete the double signing of duo Victor Ibarbo and Suso from Roma and AC Milan respectively, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

The forward has apparently received the go ahead from Roma to complete the deal having previously been close to signing for Sampdoria before they decided to not sell forward Eder and pull out of negotiations.

It had looked like there would be stumbling blocks with former club Cagliari still laying some claim to the forward, likely to be sell on fees and such, but they have also sanctioned the deal according to TMW.

The Hornets are also chasing a deal for former Liverpool man Suso, although it remains unclear whether that would be a loan deal or a permanent move.

The midfielder only moved to AC Milan in January of this year as he sought regular football, but despite scoring a double on his first start, has so far failed to establish himself in the first team, making just four starts in the league.

That has led to the interest from Watford, who may be seeking to bring the Spaniard in as a replacement for Miguel Layun, who they have allowed to join Porto.
