Report: Watford star Matej Vydra joins Reading on season-long loan deal

The Czech Republic international could sign permanently in a year.

Watford have been looking to move on foreign players this week as they aim to trim the squad ahead of the Premier League squad confirmation this week.

One man who looks set to be on his way out of the club is Matej Vydra.

The Czech Republic international has been linked with several clubs in recent weeks as The Hornets do not have a place for him in their current first-team squad.

Now it looks like his next destination has been confirmed, as Sky Sports are reporting that Vydra will be on his way to Reading.

The Royals are desperate for some more attacking options and have already seemingly tied down a deal for Ola John of Benfica after signing Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea yesterday.

Now it is reported that they will be attempting to bring in Vydra on a season-long loan deal, with a view to a permanent £2 million deal at the end of the season should he be a success.,

Vydra, a former Championship Player of the Season in 2013, has played under Steve Clarke previously at West Brom and will be a welcome signature at the Madejski Stadium.
