Report: Reading will sign Dutch international Ola John today

The Championship club should bring in the flying winger later today.

Championship club Reading pulled off a great deal yesterday by bringing in Lucas Piazon on loan from Chelsea for the rest of the season.

Now it seems the Berkshire club could be bringing in an either more exciting signing in the form of Benfica attacker Ola John.

The former FC Twente midfielder saw a deal to Swansea collapse earlier this summer but can still make a move to England this transfer window.

The Royals are believed to bringing in the player today, with a loan deal likely, as reported by Dutch media Voetbal International.

John, born in Liberia, is just 23-years-old and is a flying winger in Portuguese football. He impressed in his early days at Benfica, even earning a first and only cap for The Netherlands in 2013.

But he has struggled for regular football in recent times, spending time with Hamburg on loan last year, and Benfica are happy to send him on the way to England to get vital first-team football.

John, who is the brother of former Fulham talisman Collins John, will now be happy to get regular football at the Madejski Stadium.
