Report: Nottingham Forest address striker problem with Brighton man Chris O'Grady

Forest are set to sign O'Grady on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion.

Nottingham Forest’s hunt for a new striker may have finally come to an end, after apparently snapping up Chris O’Grady from Brighton and Hove Albion.

The club have been linked with a number of front-men in recent weeks but it would seem the Brighton man, who spent time on loan at Sheffield United last year, is all set to arrive at the City Ground today.

The report, from Sky Sports, suggests that the striker will be on loan at Forest for the rest of the season.

Forest have been in the hunt for a new striker all summer because of injury problems up top. Matty Fryatt is still out injured whilst Britt Assombalonga is not set to return from his serious knee problem until 2016.

Forest, however, are under a transfer embargo and have therefore been scratching around for cheap options on loan, which indeed O’Grady would be.

Forest would like a new striker, however the fans are likely to be nonplussed by the arrival of a forward who rarely sets pulses racing.

But a striker is needed and O’Grady will certainly do the trick.
