Norwich City striker Gary Hooper is undertaking a medical at Fulham ahead of a loan move to Craven Cottage, the Daily Mail report.
The former Celtic striker has struggled to make an impact for the Canaries, missing out on a regular first-team spot and failing to impress boss Alex Neil.
The Owls have been making a number of signings this summer as they benefit from a club takeover earlier this year, but it appears that they will ultimately miss out on Hooper.
The Daily Mail claim the striker is actually on his way to fellow Championship outfit Fulham, with a medical in West London currently underway ahead of an expected season-long loan deal.
Fulham aren’t new to bringing in big-name strikers, with the club astonishingly splashing out an eight-figure fee for Ross McCormack from Leeds United in recent times.
Kit Symons’ side have picked up seven points from their first five Championship matches, but with just seven goals they have seemingly identified the attacking third as an area for improvement.
Hooper, a £5 million acquisition from Celtic as per the Mail, scored 20 goals in 69 appearances in all competitions for Norwich and will be deemed a solid addition at Craven Cottage.
