Leeds and Celtic are battling to sign Manchester City attacker Brandon Barker.
Exciting Manchester City winger Brandon Barker is wanted by both Leeds United and Celtic, report The Star.
The winger is one of the most talented English wingers to come through City's academy in years, but finds his path to the first team blocked by mega deals to sign Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling.
Barker is wanted on loan, and Leeds are revisiting interest shown earlier in the summer according to The Star.
Leeds would have to cede their earlier demands that a loan deal would include an option to buy. The Yorkshire Evening Post reported earlier this summer that this saw the club pull out of a race to sign him.
Barker though remains available for loan, but Celtic are the biggest competitors for his signature.
The Star report both clubs are pushing to persuade Manchester City to agree a deal before the deadline.
Celtic to that end have a big advantage. The transfer deadline in England closes at 6pm, while Scottish clubs have until midnight to sign players.
