Report: Everton forward Steven Naismith wanted by Premier League rivals Norwich City

Norwich City

The Canaries are said to be considering an approach for the forward today.

Norwich City are said to be keen on a move for Everton attacker Steven Naismith.

Rumours have been circulating today that The Canaries might just make a move for The Toffees forward, who has been out of the starting line-up at the club this season.

Now the Liverpool Echo are reporting that there is some traction behind the apparent interest from Carrow Road, where he would meet up with several Scotland international team-mates in Norfolk.

Norwich are also looking into a deal for Stoke City’s Jonathan Walters, but should that deal not come off, then the signature of Naismith could be a like for like back up.

Naismith has been a top player at Everton in recent times, after initially having to win over the fans at Goodison Park.

But there is no doubt that Naismith is something of a limited talent and with the emergence of Arouna Kone this term and the potential signing of Aaron Lennon, Naismith is running out of space to make it into the first-team.

Norwich meanwhile would love to bring in a player of Naismith’s ability to help them in their survival race.
