Report: Derby County making move for Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson

The midfielder is on Derby's wish-list on Deadline Day.

Derby County have been one of the top movers in The Championship this summer, with some brilliant and shrewd acquisitions making them look like early contenders for the title.

Now it looks like they might bring in one of the better players in the second tier last season, as Derby prepare to chase down the potential signature of Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson.

The Mirror are reporting that Derby are keen on the player, after their poor start to the season.

Derby, who lost to Leeds at the weekend, are yet to win in the Championship this season and Paul Clement is struggling to win over the fans early on.

An injury to Will Hughes has not helped matters so Johnson’s arrival would be a fantastic coup – considering how impressive he was in The Championship last term.

Johnson has not regained his starting spot at the club after the opening game of the season, sitting on the bench for the next three Premier League games of the season.

That might mean Norwich are keen on letting the player go and Derby would be bringing in a great signing if they can pull this one off.
