Celtic are reportedly weighing up a late move to sign Leicester City striker Andrej Kramaric.

According to the Daily Mail, Celtic are considering a move for Leicester City forward Andrej Kramaric, but talks over Steven Fletcher continue.

The Bhoys have already added one striker this summer having snatched Nadir Ciftci away from Scottish Premiership rivals Dundee United – but having allowed Stefan Scepovic to join Getafe on Monday, manager Ronny Deila may well be in the market for another forward.

Defender Jozo Simunovic and midfielder Ryan Christie are set to join Celtic today according to the Daily Mail, but they also report interesting developments in the club’s search for a new striker.

It’s stated that the Bhoys remain in negotiations with Sunderland over a deal to sign Scotland international Steven Fletcher on loan, with the 28-year-old slipping down the pecking order following the Black Cats’ move to sign Fabio Borini from Liverpool.

However, with the former Hibs’ star’s wages something of an issue, Celtic may need alternatives to Fletcher – and the Daily Mail believe that Leicester’s Kramaric is a target.

The 24-year-old, signed from Rijeka in January, scored three goals in 15 games at the end of last season, but the arrival of Shinji Okazaki has him out of favour at the King Power Stadium.

With the aforementioned Simunovic set for Celtic, the defender could be joined by another Croatian, though any move for Kramaric would no doubt be a loan move considering Leicester’s investment in him earlier this year.

The transfer deadline is drawing ever closer, and it seems that Celtic could be one of the busier sides as they look to tie up a number of deals.
