Report: Bournemouth show interest Genoa winger Diego Perotti

Bournemouth are keen on signing Diego Perotti, also wanted by Watford.

According to TMW, Bournemouth are hoping to complete a late swoop to sign Diego Perotti from Serie A side Genoa, with just hours to go before the transfer window closes.

The left-winger, 27, has been garnering interest from the Cherries for a number of weeks, and Eddie Howe wants to see a deal completed for him, with negotiations already underway, according to the report.

The former Sevilla and Boca Juniors star, a twice-capped Argentine international, has also been linked with another Premier League side this summer, with the BBC claiming back in June that Watford had a £7 million offer accepted for the winger.

Perotti did not accept the offer, but the Hornets have retained their interest in him, and it is hard to see why the 27-year-old would choose to move to the Cherries over Watford considering their joint-status as newly promoted sides.

It is believed that Watford are still keen on completing a deal for Perotti, but Bournemouth have made a late offer for the winger, and want to bring him to the South Coast before the passing of the deadline later today.
